About This Quote

The Japanese religion Shinto, with its thousands of shrines, temples, and Buddhist temples can be said to be one of the most elaborate religion in the world. It is believed that in the Shinto religion, there are 33 million spirits that serve as intermediaries between humans and Kami. These Kami are known to bless the land and people with crops and other natural resources. Inland from the Inland Sea, there are sacred rocks called Ise Jingi that are said to hold a very important role in Shinto religion.

The Ise Jingi is a rock formation where offerings glow beneath it. As a result of this glowing, these rocks are considered sacred and special by many who live around them. The glow of offering can be seen by anyone who visits the area surrounding these rocks.
